Co-founder / Engineer Aug 2026 – Present
  • Build client products start to finish: Next.js and TypeScript front ends on Supabase and Postgres, with auth, payments and multitenancy.
  • Design the APIs, webhooks and background services behind them, running on Cloudflare, Railway and edge functions.
  • Put AI into the software people already use, not beside it. Document and workflow automation that pulls structure out of messy inputs.
  • Scope the work with the client, then build it and stay on it. Whoever scopes a job is the one who supports it.

Senior Engineer, Data Platform May 2022 – Aug 2026
  • Own the production platform outright: the services, the storage, the scheduled jobs, and the build behind what the business queries.
  • Build and maintain the backend services and integrations in Python and SQL: REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven ingestion, product telemetry.
  • Replaced a sprawl of legacy dashboards with internal web apps built to one pattern, so the interface, the data access and the deploy all work the same way.
  • Built AI agents that triage data issues and fix failed builds.
  • Tune performance and running cost as the platform grows, and keep the code reusable and documented instead of copied.
  • Review pull requests and work directly with Sales, CSM, Marketing and R&D on what gets built.
Engineer, Data Platform May 2022 – Dec 2023
  • Built the platform and its first production codebase from the ground up, now serving product, growth and revenue teams.
  • Brought new sources in through hand-built API and webhook integrations alongside managed connectors.

Data Engineer → DM&I Solution Lead Oct 2020 – May 2022
  • Built and supported the batch and real-time services behind WA’s regional electricity network.
  • Brought operational technology and field asset systems into the enterprise platform over APIs and streaming.
  • Modelled the data, and set up governance tooling for business glossary, metadata and data quality.
  • Sat with the business to work out what they needed, then built it.

  • Level 2/3 application support for the Metering Business System, MV-RS and MV90 data collection, and UIQ advanced metering infrastructure.

Ten years across Python, TypeScript and the SQL underneath both. If you’ve got something you’re trying to build, I’m happy to talk it through (ABN 53 239 030 642).

My work has taken me from Western Australia’s electricity networks to a global DevOps platform, and now to running GTR AI with a small team of my own. The thread through all of it: build the whole thing, front end to database, and keep it running once it ships.

I hold a Master of Computer Science (Software Engineering) and a Bachelor of IT (Cyber Security) from Edith Cowan University, plus an exchange semester at the University of South Florida. That security background still shapes how I build.

Outside work: triathlon, marathon running, scuba diving, and a slightly accidental property portfolio in Osaka, Japan.
